Paalukku paalakan vaendi azhuthidap, Partkadal eentthapiran
Maalukku sakkaram aantrarul seithavan, Manniya thillai thannul
Aalikkum anthanar vazhkinra sittram, Pala mae edamaghap
Paalithu naddam payilavallaanukkae, Pallandu Kooruthumae

Translation

The Lord who bestowed the ocean of milk to the boy who cried for milk,
the Lord who bestowed the 'chakra' (discus) weapon to Vishnu,
the Lord who dwells in Chidambaram,
the town where the brahmins reciting the vedas live, the Lord who performs the cosmic dance -
We say 'May you live long' to Him.
