a. Trekking to the seashore one day, Chellappaswami and Yogaswami came upon a lady selling eggplants, Yogaswamis favored vegetable. Knowing his disciples penchant for brinjals, Chellappa turned and walked away, not allowing the desire to be fulfilled. b. Yogaswami wrote often of the day his life was transformed. Passing the Nallur chariot house that morning, he was transfixed by Chellappaswamis holy presence. When the guru challenged, Hey! Who are you? the disciple was lost in an infinite light that engulfed him and changed him forever.
