S. Ambikaipakam, born 1908 in Chunnakam, Sri Lanka, was a life-long close disciple of the great sage and yoga siddha of Sri Lanka, Siva Yogaswami. He was close to Swami from his early school days until Swami's Maha Samadhi in 1964. Devotees entreated him to write the life story of his Guru and this marvelous small book was the result. In just a short book, S. Ambikaipakam has manage to give us an inspiring and authentic vision of the life of one of the 20th century's most advance Hindu mystics. We want to thank the sons of S. Ambikaipakam for carrying on the work, perpetuating their father's legacy and collaborating with the monks of Kauai's Aadheenam with the help of Ramesh Sivanathan in Malaysia, to bring out a modern English version of the original Tamil. May this work inspires us all to preserve, protect and promote Saiva Dharma, of which Siva Yoga Swamigal was the living embodiement. Jai Siva Yogaswamigal!
