Peace Pole Goes to Hanapepe Garden of Peace

After completing work on this Peace Pole, Sivakatirswami turned over it to the current chairperson of the Interfaith Roundtable of Kauai, Anneleah Atkinson, and her husband who is behind the camera. Annaleah then delivered it to Mark Jaffers, Director of the famed Story Book Theater (http://www.storybook.org) in Hanapepe on the west side of the island.
Mark called this morning to say “I just wanted to let you know we got The Peace Pole and it is in good hands and will be installed by a professional who has experience in setting up bronze and other statues in public places. I think the Peace Pole will be a center of attraction here.”
The pole will be officially unveiled at the opening of the SPARK M. MATSUNAGA INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S GARDEN FOR PEACE, in Hanapepe. If you live on Kauai and want to attend a marvelous event, don’t miss it:

A Peace Pole is simple powerful statement that stands tall in the community and silently beams out to all who see it: “May Peace Prevail on Earth.” This echos in modern times the ancient prayer of our Vedic Rishis in one of the many famous Shanti Mantras.
AUM Sarveshaam Swastir Bhavatu
Sarveshaam Shantir Bhavatu;
Sarveshaam purnam Bhavatu;
Sarveshaam Mangalam Bhavatu.
AUM Shantih, Shantih, Shantih
May all be auspecious;
May all attain peace;
Let there be fullness and contentment all over;
May all be blessed.
AUM peace, peace, peace.
And this other famous prayer:
Lokaa Samasthaa Sukhino Bhavanthu…
Om shanti, Shanti, Shanti…
May all the beings in all the worlds become happy;
Peace, peace and peace be everywhere!

What Is Sadhana?
What Is Sadhana?
"Sadhana is practiced...wherever a pure, serene atmosphere can be found." Achieve steadiness, control of emotions through abhyasa-regular consistent practice with devotion, yoga-the restraint of mental activities and vairaghya-dispassion. Like the growth of a kauri tree, it's a slow process; check it every few years, see the progress.

Nartana Ritau - A Season For Planning
Bodhinatha describes Nartana Ritau, one of three seasons as created by Gurudeva. Each season corresponds to a book of the Master Course Trilogy. Nartana Ritau-Dancing with Siva-philosophy, begins on the Tamil New Year and is a time for planning.
