Ganesha Homa October 09- Mauritius Spiritual Park

The October Ganesha Homa at the Spiritual Park was a special event this month because an elaborate ceremony was performed seeking Lord Pancha Mukha Ganapathi's divine grace to bless students of primary, secondary and university levels taking part in their coming end of year exams. We are posting a first series of photos today.

Sivachariya Deva Kumar, priest from Tanjavur, South India was there early to set up everything for the ceremony. Bunches of showy jade vine flowers which are of a highly unusual blue-green to adorn the Lord.

Traditional musicians were hired for this occasion… The youth are delighted to see them playing.

The Ganesha Mandapam was full with youth of all ages, sitting so close to the murthi, a really rare opportunity o be inside on normal Sunday Homas.

Youth were beautifully dressed in Hindu clothing and feeling so good being at the Spiritual Park.

No parents or adults inside the Mandapam today! Only our members helping…

A few metres away offerings are made at the small Ganesha Shrine…

Inside the Ganesha Mandapam everything is ready for the puja. Here are the brass kumbas with cooconuts.
