Sun 3 – Three Days to Lift Off to Australia

Bodhinatha has been working on his presentations in Australia and Paramacharya Palaniswami has also been working hard on his presentation on Religion and Media that will be presented at the Parliament of the World Religions. We hope to have a movie of that to play for you on the day he gives it in Australia.

Senthilnathaswami has begun packing.

Yesterday's Tour Day

Our host, Kulapati Deva Seyon writes the captions for our tour days:

“Meeting initially in the Banyan Mandapam guests get a basic introduction to Kauai Aadheenam, the life of a monk, our founder, our current Satguru, Iraivan Temple, and a brief introduction to Saiva Siddhanta and our publications. We had a huge group, possibly nearly 80 people came.”

It is not so much what they hear but what they feel that makes the tour special for each guest. Almost without exception they leave feeling they have touched something sacred, something immeasurable.

Everywhere they look they see the great inner plane Beings who protect and guide this monastery.

One thing that makes Iraivan so special is that it is surrounded by endless gardens, groves, ponds, sacred plants, fish and streams. All of that guided and protected by illumined monks under vows. Is there many such places on earth?

Some have called Kauai Aadheenam “the range of light”.

Autumn Visitors

The Iraivan Temple has become a famous pilgrimage site for Hindus the world over, and even though this great Siva Temple has not quite been completed, guests and pilgrims continue to arrive from all over the world to enjoy the sacredness of this great spiritual sanctuary.

Pilgrims feel spiritually fulfilled after attending the wonderfully uplifting morning puja in the powerful Kadavul Siva Temple, where pujas have been performed every three hours, twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year for over three decades.

Guests then pilgrimage to the great Siva Temple known as "Iraivan" with its shining golden gopurams and magnificent capstone brilliant and resplendant in the morning sunlight.

Here visiting for the first time are guests, Kudavalli Jaganath with his wife and daughters. As well as Ravi Krishnan and his two sons, Sidharth 4 yrs, and Nikhil 2 yrs. Upon leaving Kudavalli remarked "If there is a place on earth for spirituality, it is here." Also visiting are Vir andKiran Singh who were especially blessed to receive the darshan of Sat Guru Bodhinatha Veylanswami.
