End of Phase

We end a five-day phase today. It was productive and dynamic on many fronts. This retreat will be Iraivan day for the monks. Despite the economic difficulties in the US, it seems that the road to Kauai Aadheenam is wide open and visitors and pilgrims are coming more and more every day.

END OF PHASE
Today is the last day of our phase.
This edition of TAKA will remain posted
over our coming two-day retreat,
until Dasami Tithi, Sun One, Friday, March 20th.

Pilgrims

Some of yesterday’s pilgrims.

In front of the north gopuram of the Iraivan Temple are Vijaya and Anupama Garapati (far right) who are from Toronto, Canada, and Rajeshwari and Mahesh Gadamsetty and their two sons, Sunny and Vineet from Phoenix Arizona. Both families originated from Andra Pradesh.

Vijaya and Anupama felt very much at peace here and remarked on the serene and beautiful setting for a very spiritual temple.

Rajeswari and Mahesh really enjoyed the morning puja and felt that it was a wonderful and unexpected blessing to be here. Their two sons, Vineet (10) and Sunny (12), showed great interest and asked many intelligent questions while touring the Iraivan Temple.

Bodhinatha in Mauritius – April 11

For those watching TAKA in Mauritius, put April 11 on your calendar and make a plan to be at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre from 9 AM to 3 PM on that day for an all-day seminar on “Hindu Mysticism.”

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
