Sun Two Ekadanta Kulam Report

It is Sun 2 today. Saravananathaswami, the one-man Ekadanta Kulam gave a long report on his activies. He’s working on communications with two young men interested in monastic life in Mauritius. He also processed the new Arul Sishya applications from students in Mauritius who are steadily moving toward full membership in Saiva Siddhanta Church. He’s also working on future travel plans and events for Bodhinatha and working on the new web site for Saiva Siddhanta Church.

A picture from guest who came a few days ago. Vasudeva and Kamala Paniker from Pennsylvania and family relatives K. Venugopal and his wife Madhavi from Chicago who are lifetime subscribers of Hinduism Today. The other young couple are newlyweds, Prasant and Donna Radhakrishnan from Oakland, CA visiting for the first time. Prasant is a fusion musician, who combines carnatic music and jazz on his alto saxaphone.

Saivite Children's Camp, Boca Raton, Florida

On Saturday, May 2nd an all-day Saivite Children’s Camp was held in Boca Raton, Florida for the community’s children.

Twelve children of all ages attended the camp which was conducted by Rishi Thondunathan. Children were instructed about the Nine Beliefs of Hinduism, A Hindu Primer, Ten Questions about Hinduism and more from Gurudeva’s book, Dancing with Siva.

The camp began with a Puja to Siva Yogaswami and Gurudeva. The parents of the children also attended the Camp.
