The Aadheenam is intensely busy as Arumugaswami and Yoginathaswami prepare to depart for India.

The Ganapati Kulam reported on its work today. As ever Hinduism Today Magazine work continues as we move steadily forward in work on the January 2010 edition.

Paramacharya Palaniswami is also preparing a presentation for the bi-annual seed exchange which happens on Kauai. He and Senthilnathaswami are also getting ready to go to an Adobe Conference in California where they will be getting some important input on taking print publications forward into digital formats, which is a big revolution underway right now in the publishing universe.

We also working on a major upgrade of the Hinduism Today Digital Edition, which will be newly named “Hinduism Today Navigator.” This will be a free broadband program. Users will, on installation, get the entire corpus of all Hinduism Today back issues on their hard drive (as text-html documents) and will be able to search them all locally. The option to download the PDF for the edition will still be there if you want to have the full color version on your hard drive also.

For those interested in dance, we have a very unusual article coming up of the earliest American dancers who started to dance Indian dance, even though they had not been to India! Some of them in the story knew Gurudeva. It is a fascinating piece the shows how India’s cultural seeped into American in the early 1900’s.

For those whose browsers locked up on yesterday’s TAKA, we had an embedded Flash player object that played a beautiful song about Lord Murugan in Cincinatti, a murthi which had been given by Gurudeva. We suggest you upgrade to the latest version of the browser you are using, and also upgrade to the latest version of Flash. If that does not work and you are using a PC with Windows, then the best we can suggest is: get a Apple/Mac.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
