Tour Day Last Phase

Last phase our tour day brought a beautiful happy group today discovering the infinite depths and wealth of Kauai Aadheenam!

One of the wonderful opportunities of meeting so many people on the tour group is we get to hear some sweet stories. Elisa told us an inspiring story about her stay in India for one year serving at an orphanage near Bangladesh. One of the many things she did to serve the children was to go around to all the shops in the area until she had purchased sixty two-inch Ganeshas which she gifted to each child personally. They had nothing like that for themselves and it was an enormous delight to each one of them. Elisa was still glowing from her wonderful experience with these beautiful children.

Mr. and Mrs. K Venkateswaran are visiting from San Francisco. Gurudeva met them years ago and sent them a Ganesha Murthi to help start the Livermore temple. They kept the Deity in there home until the Temple was completed.

Sonu and Anmol coming from Chicago are on their honeymoon visiting Kauai. They heard about the temple after they arrived here on the Island and were so happy to have this blessings. Kannan our silpi was asked to join them in the photograph.

Mauritius Shorefront Platform Underway

Our Mauritius Saiva Dharmasala is perched on the northern edge of the beautiful island nation of the Republic of Mauritius. Our property borders the auspicious place where the Riviere du Rempart meets the sea and faces almost due east. Here one can watch the sun rise overthe amazingly clear multi-blue-hued waters off Mauritius shores and think of the holy Motherland of India that lies beyond the rising sun.

The main facility is some 60 feet or so above sea-level and now has a stairway going down to the shore with a new platform at the river’s edge.

All these extensions were envisioned by Gurudeva years ago and now are coming into manifestation. We want to thank the generous benefactors who are contributing to the project. In this case this huge excavator is helping by working on the area in the river below.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
