Best portraits of our monks ever ! Swami Vivekenanda is well known for saying, “Never forget and teach to your children that as is the difference between a firefly and the blazing sun, between the infinite ocean and a little pond, between a mustard seed and the mountain Meru, such is the difference between the householder and the sannyasin!”

  11. Vatshalan says:

Thank you for this wonderful portraits of Satguru and Siva’s soldiers of the within. Nandri for your sacrifice, love and wisdom that you amply provide.

Kulapati Easan echoing your thoughts. In a story told to us growing up, Lord Muruga appears and asks Auvaiyar a series of challenging philosophical questions. In one He asks “What is great? And Auvaiyar replies:

“Big is the world, bigger is Lord Brahma who created it. But, Brahma emerges from the navel of Vishnu who sleeps on the ocean. The ocean was quaffed by Sage Agasthya who was born of a pot. The pot comes from the earth, which rests upon the cosmic serpent Adishesha’s head. The serpent is but a ring on the finger of Parvati, who is a part of Siva. Lord Siva resides in the heart of the devotee so the Siva bhakta alone is the greatest”

  12. Vatshalan says:

    Addendum:
I think the Gurus of our lineage would put it a little simpler and say Siva is the greatest, He resides in you so you too are that.

  13. Ramai Santhirapala says:

Beautiful photos with divine radiations – Siva’s Soldiers who keep an untold many marching on the path of San Marga. Nandri for sharing these updates; wonderful to read! Aum Namah Sivaya.
