The Story of an Unexpected Siva Bhaktar
Aum Sivaya
Over the last month, one of our monks had been documenting the existence of a baby praying mantis, until one day something changed in the life of this unique little creature. Look through the slideshow to enjoy the full story! Aum Namah Sivaya

From my earliest days of frolic in Siva’s magic gardens (and like many a young boy – my saving grace) . . . I have always wondered why this little creature, seemed more aware, more intelligent than all the wonderful crawling creatures? He was aptly called a praying mantis – true – and his little hands were predominately held in Namaskaram . . . but was this purely an anatomical evolutionary function or was there a deeper story – a higher evolutionary tract? And if there was how would I ever know for sure? How would I know what risks he would take, what adventures he would dare spin to be dropped at the feet of God? Alas, I now know!

Thank you Swamis for the heart-melting journey of the Praying Mantis. The Monks’ attention to detail, love for lives of all beings big and small in Siva’s garden are not always found in this world! A great lesson for mankind and my gratitude to the Monks who worship Lord Siva non stop is a testament to the world.
