From 1970: A Wonderful Talk by Gurudeva
Please enjoy this rarely heard talk from Gurudeva in the 1970’s about the “Wailua University of Contemplative Arts.” This wonderful talk explores meditation and the practice of stabilizing the mind force. It expresses many of Gurudeva’s early teachings which give a foundation for decades to come. Our thanks to Namrata Ragade for her loving seva of listening to countless archival audio files, which helped to bring this talk out of the archives and into the present. Aum Namah Sivaya.

What an amazing talk from so long ago, revealing the benefits of Shum. Also fascinating to hear Gurudeva’s comments because my dear parents sent me to Christian Science sunday school beginning at age three where they taught to identify oneself as a spiritual being. As Gurudeva observed, they lacked the “how to”, which Gurudeva so generously provided and the Paramparai continues to provide today. Thank you, Namrata, for finding this gem.

Riding on the tones and vibration of Gurudeva’s voice is meditation itself. How infinitely patient He is as he watches us . . . trying to crawl, struggling to get to our feet.
