Impressions from a Recent Pilgrim

Recently, Don and Bart walked San Marga as pilgrims and attended the puja that is done daily at 9 am at the Svayambhu Lingam where Gurudeva had a vision of Siva. They walked over to Iraivan Temple where Nirvani Nirvani Haranandinatha invited them to enter and enjoy the arati that is done in the inner sanctum daily.

Don and Bart are life-long friends, and became disciples of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1970's and have practiced daily meditation ever since. "It was at that time," explains Bart, "that we became introduced to Hinduism's way of thinking and way of life."

"I explained to Don the mystical symbolism and meaning of the San Marga, the Straight Path to God, as we walked. Then we attended that incredibly beautiful puja at the Lingam site. It was really strong, really wonderful. We felt blessed. Don was overwhelmed with his visit, the spirituality of the place, the temple's workmanship, the views, the grounds and the evolving grand landscaping."
