Both Arumugaswami and I gave keynotes on the California textbook controversy and what we are doing to help get the books to be accurate and respectful to Hinduism. Amazingly, this issue seems to have galvanized Hindus around the nation, and we heard many speak of initiatives being undertaken to correct the lessons. My keynlote introduced the overall issue, while Arumugaswami's focused on the Hindu History supplement already produced by Hinduism Today and the plans for publishing a second supplement.
