The Significance of Hinduism Today

Bodhinatha gives a talk that he just recently gave at a public event in Chennai, India, at the end of our 2004 Indian Odyssey Innersearch Travel-Study Program (Jan 18-Feb 6). The event was focused on Iraivan Temple and Hinduism Today magazine. Bodhinatha jests that creating Hinduism Today in Hawaii and exporting it to India is like bringing coal to Newcastle. Unlike many religious publications, Hinduism Today isn't about the group that publishes it, for part of its mission is to report on, strengthen and unify all sects and lineages of Hinduism.

Seeing the mind in its totality convinces the seeker that he is something else, he is the witness who observes the mind and cannot, therefore, be the mind itself. Then we realize that the mind in its superconsciousness is pure.
