Predestination

A cyberspace question from Tamil Nadu, India from someone wondering why we should go to the temple if everything is predestined. Gurudeva explains that we create our own destiny, according to the law called Karma. But, he says, we don't want to acknowledge fate. By going to the temple we can mitigate the karmas we create.

Karma is the law of cause and effect, action and reaction governing maya. Anava is the individuating veil of duality, source of ignorance and finitude. Maya is the classroom, karma the teacher, and anava the student's ignorance.
