There are many religions in our world today. A religion is a way of understanding the meaning of life. Each religion teaches a way to know or reach God. It also teaches the proper way to live. Not all religions are the same age. Some were created 500 years ago, others began 2,000 years ago. A few began even earlier than that. Hinduism, your religion, is the oldest of all the religions. Historians tell us it is over 8,000 years old. But our Hindu tradition tells us it goes back before man started keeping track of time. Hinduism has no human founder. It is the natural way of the universe.§

Pada masa kini terdapat banyak agama di dunia ini. Agama adalah cara memahami erti kehidupan. Setiap agama mengajar kita cara-cara mengenali dan mendekati Tuhan. Agama juga mengajar kita cara hidup yang betul. Bukan semua agama bermula pada masa yang sama. Ada yang wujud 500 tahun dahulu dan ada pula agama yang wujud 2000 tahun dahulu. Ada juga yang wujud sebelum itu. Hinduisme merupakan agama yang tertua daripada semua agama yang lain. Menurut sejarahwan, agama ini telah wujud lebih dari 8000 tahun dahulu. Namun begitu, menurut tradisi Hindu, agama ini telah bermula jauh sebelum manusia mencipta cara mengukur masa. Hinduisme tidak mempunyai pencipta atau pengasas. Hinduisme wujud seiring dengan kewujudan alam semesta ini.§
