Every good Hindu helps a temple, religious group or ashram. This is good karma for you. It brings you closer to other helpful Hindus. There are many ways to help. You can clean and help cook. You can help with mailings and deliveries. You can take care of the holy gardens. You can share gifts of money from your allowance, or raise funds. You can host guests at the temple and care for elderly visitors. This is called Sivathondu, service to God.§

இலவச உணவை மற்றவர்களுக்கு பரிமாறுவதன் மூலம் இளைஞர்கள் மற்றவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்கிறார்கள். மக்கள் வாழை இலையில் உணவு உண்கிறார்கள். ஒரு சிறுவன் பசுவிற்குப் புல்லைக் கொடுக்கிறான். §
Setiap penganut Hindu yang beramal akan menolong kuil, persatuan agama atau ashram. Ini adalah karma baik bagi kamu. Ia membawa kamu dekat dengan penganut Hindu lain yang melakukan usaha yang sama. Terdapat pelbagai cara untuk membantu. Kamu boleh menolong membersih dan memasak. Kamu juga boleh membantu menerima dan menyampaikan surat. Kamu boleh menjaga taman bunga suci yang terdapat di kuil dan ashram. Kamu juga boleh berkongsi wang daripada elaun kamu atau mengutip derma. Selain daripada itu kamu boleh menjadi tuan rumah kepada pelawat dan menjaga orang tua yang datang ke kuil. Inilah yang dipanggil “Sivathondu”, berkhidmat untuk Tuhan.§
