Bharani Nakshatra

AR 13-20 to 26-40; Ruler: Venus; Dosha: Pitta
Bharani, means "The Bearing Star", also known as "The Star of Restraint"
Astronomical Constellation: 41 Arietis
It conveys ideas pertaining to: discipline, self-control; to be faithful, be firm, endure; supporting, maintaining, nourishing, bearing in the womb. The energy of Bharani is called ugra or krura, which translates as harsh, powerful, hot, formidable and fierce. Because this star seems to stir the mind in one way or another, it is not an auspicious day to begin something new. Its influence causes the mind to become entangled in the material world. It can hide or eclipse things, causing some struggles. Those born with the Moon in this star have good resistance to disease, are skillful, conscientious, impatient, often long lived and make fine, courageous leaders and successful business people.
