Sysumu and Thelma Myashiro are from Huntington Beach, CA visiting with their friends, Fred and Reiko Fujimoto, from Oahu. This is their second visit to the temple in three years.
Sri Ram and his wife Usha, from Bloomfield, MI, arrived with Bindumati Kikani, who traveled all the way from Mumbai on a pilgrimage to the Kauai Aadheenam. They will be here for several days attending the pujas in the Kadavul Temple and visiting the Iraivan Temple.
Religion needs to be of the present. Mankind is evolving spiritually; mass consciousness is rising. When we go to the temple, in the right spirit, contributing devotion and prana, being open to the blessings of the Deity; it purifies the mind. The Hindu religion focuses on the mind; purifies it; controls it, subdues the ego, makes us more humble.
