on the left is a slim case of his computer he can use when just moving between buildings or going out locally so that he does not have to carry a big case for just a few hours away from his desk. Then we gave him a magic trackpad and iKlear for his iPhone.
Chinmaya Mission Acharya's Last Day of Visiting
Gaurang and Darshana Nanavaty visited again today with some friends from Houston. They are full time teachers for the Chinmaya Mission and instrumental in the preparation of courses and books for training teachers. Sannyasin Arumugaswami had a long session with Darshana in which she shared their programs.
It was a privilege to have this chance to get to know some sevaks who have completely dedicated their lives to educating the next generation in Hinduism and for us to be able to strengthen our long-time association with our brothers and sisters of the Chinmaya Mission, a relationship that goes all the way back to Swami Chinmayananda’s first visits to America and his relationship with Gurudeva.
Here is everyone at the Minimela.
It's the end of a dynamic phas…
It’s the end of a dynamic phase. The monastery is on retreat for the next two days. Have a wonderful week, everyone.
August 2010 Ganesha Homa-Spiritual Park, Mauritius
With Ganesha Chaturthi approaching, the Ganesha Homa at the Spiritual Park continues to be an even more exciting event and spiritual monthly pilgrimage for hundreds of families of the island of Mauritius.
Kulapati SK Moorghen placing written prayers in an already overloaded basket. Thousands of such prayers are being burnt on the first Sunday of every month at the Ganesha Homa.
As usual, the place is always tightly packed with devotees of all ages….
Four kulapaties, stewards of the Spiritual Park perform the ceremony.

Lord Pancha Mukha Ganapati overseeing the whole ceremony…
The huge flame mystically transforms the written notes into readable astral prayers for the devas of the inner worlds.
One testimony from Professor Jean Luc Albert of Lausanne University, Switzeland. Jean Luc Albert has been doing a research for several years on the renaissance of Saivism in Mauritius since Gurudeva's teachings spreading here. His next research will be on the impact of Saivism in Mauritius. Jean Luc Albert, talking in creole, was impressed by the incessant flow of devotees coming to the Park and said he was feeling very good all over being at such a wonderful spiritual place.
Kulapati Manon Mardemootoo giving the montly talk from Bodhinatha's teachings.
Devotees are very attentive….
Meanwhile, worship goes on at the several sacred spots of the Park. Here devotees are down the river to collect water for the Sivalingum…

Bodhinatha's Latest Upadesha: "Detachment from Experiences; Importance of Daily Vigil" (May 5, 2013)
All experiences are good experiences, necessary to get us here. Awareness of aspects of ourselves that are constantly changing is a liberating perception, breaking our chains to mundane areas, detaching from instinctive and intellectual to go into superconscious. The greatest challenge facing youth today is the lack of relating to the devotional side of Hinduism. Daily practice, daily vigil, moves us forward spiritually. Commentary on Merging with Siva, The Master Course, Lesson 21.
