Sun Five
Another beautiful day on Kauai. Visitor traffic has slowed down quite a bit as everyone has returned home after the holidays. The monks are all very busy as usual with their many projects.
There is new tile being placed in front of Kadavul. We will bring you some photos of that tomorrow.

Bodhinatha's Latest Upadesha: "Detachment from Experiences; Importance of Daily Vigil" (May 5, 2013)
All experiences are good experiences, necessary to get us here. Awareness of aspects of ourselves that are constantly changing is a liberating perception, breaking our chains to mundane areas, detaching from instinctive and intellectual to go into superconscious. The greatest challenge facing youth today is the lack of relating to the devotional side of Hinduism. Daily practice, daily vigil, moves us forward spiritually. Our sincere gratitude and thanks to all at the Kauai Hindu Monastery for crteating a sacred, serene and blissful space that we were able to experience on our visit in early-Jan. It was truly a blessing to make our visit at the start of a new year – we will cherish it till we return. Thanks again to Satguru, the monks and volunteers who were so welcoming and loving!
