Namaste

Here's a brief answer to a question about the meaning of the Hindu greeting, "Namaste." Gurudeva says it means many things, including, "I bow to you." It is recognizing the divine in the other person.

An e-mail question from AOL.com, wondering what is the meaning of Namaste.

It means hell-o, it means good-bye, it means I worship the God in you, I bow to you. It's recognizing the spirit the divine in another person. We by-pass the intellect of the individual and how he looks physically when we say Namaste, we contact the God within the individual.
