எட்டாத கொப்புக்கு ஏணிவைத்துப் பூப்பறித்து
முட்டாத பூசைசெய்தேன் - தங்கமே
முன்னுமில்லைப் பின்னுமில்லை

அட்டாங்க யோகம்விட்டேன் ஆதாரம் ஆறும்விட்டேன்
மட்டாருங் குழலாளே - தங்கமே
மருமமெல்லாங் கண்டேனடி

கட்டாத மனத்தைக்கட்டி காலாலே கனல்வீசி
நிட்டையிலே நானிருந்தேன் - தங்கமே
நீநானங்கு இல்லையடி

தட்டா னிடத்துச்சென்று தங்கத்தாலே தாலிசெய்து
கட்டாமல் கட்டினேன்டி - தங்கமே
காரணத்தைக் கண்டேனடி

நட்டார் ஒருவரில்லா நாதாந்த மேடையேறிச்
சிட்டாய சிட்டனுக்கே - தங்கமே
திருவிருந் தானேனடி

பட்டால்பா வாடைசெய்து பதிபசு பாசமென்னும்
மொட்டாக்கைப் போட்டுக்கொண்டேன் - தங்கமே
முழுவதும் உண்மையடி

இட்டார் இடாரென்னும் இகழ்புகழைத் தள்ளிவிட்டு
முட்டாத பூசைசெய்தேன் - தங்கமே
மூன்றுமொன் றாச்சுதடி

எட்டாத பேரின்பம் என்னைவி ழுங்கிற்றடி
கிட்டாது முட்டாதடி - தங்கமே
கேட்டு மகிழ்ந்திரடி

சுட்டாமல் சுட்டிடடி சோதிசிவ ரூபமடி
கிட்டாத பொருளென்று - தங்கமே
கீழ்நோக்கிப் பாராதே

எட்டாத கொப்பினிலே இருக்குதடி தேனமிர்தம்
தட்டாமல் சாப்பிடடி - தங்கமே
சமனாவார் ஒருவரில்லை

பத்தும் படிப்போர்க்குப் பாக்கியமுஞ் சிலாக்கியமும்
இத்தரையி லுண்டாமடி - தங்கமே
எல்லாஞ் சிவமயமே

Not Reachable to the Branch

not reachable - to the branch - ladder - keep - flower - pluck
wonderful - pooja - did I - O Golden One
front also not there - back also not there

eight limbed - Yoga - I left - support - six also - I left
incomparable - by the locks - O Golden One
mystery - all - I saw, my dear

not tied - the mind - tied and - with breath - blew heat
in meditation - I - was - O Golden One
You - I - there - was not, my dear

goldsmith - to the place of - went and - in gold - pendant (1) - made and
without tying - I tied, my dear - O Golden One
the Source - I saw, my dear

planter - one even - not - sound ending - stage climbed and
smaller - than small - O Golden One
Holy - feast - I became, my dear

of silk - skirt - made and - God - Soul - Bondage - thus
the head cover - I put on - O Golden One
all - is truth, my dear

giver - non-giver thus - criticism - praise - pushed aside
marvellous - worship - I did - O Golden One
all three - became One, my dear

not reachable - immense bliss - me - swallowed, my dear
not attainable - height, my dear - O Golden One
listen and - stay happy, my dear

without burning - burn, my dear - light is Siva - form, my dear
not attainable - thing - thus said - O Golden One
below - towards - do not see

not reachable - on the branch - is there, my dear - honeyed elixir
without fail - eat, my dear - O Golden One
to equal - one person - not there

all ten (verses) - those that read - fortune and - success also
on this ground - will be there, my dear - O Golden One
all - is Siva's Immanence, indeed

(1): Thaali: Gold chain worn at the time of wedding. The husband ties it around the wife's neck. This is a sacred chain for the wife and signifies the bond with the husband and Siva.
