The Art of Listening

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami reads his editorial from the July/August/September 2015 edition of Hinduism Today magazine. In this edition Bodhinatha explains how listening is an art which can lead to spiritual progress when it is properly executed. Concentration, understanding, patience, empathy and intuition are qualities an individual should endeavour to develop whenever approached by someone. Bodhinatha further advises parents and families how the art of listening and communication should be practised at home and the importance for parents to limit children's access to digital media at home.

Having hurt another through wrongdoing, one has to pay back in proportion to the injury, not a rupee less and not a rupee more. The moment the healing is complete, the scar will mysteriously vanish. This is the law. It is a mystical law.
