Giving gifts to Bodhinatha
and Arumuganathaswami
and Yoginathaswami
Tiruchi Mahaswamigal presides near the temple entrance
Taking the flame after aarati to Goddess Rajarajeshwari
Back outside the temple we look up to the towering rajagopuram
The structure is complete and the ornamental plaster work is underway
Greetings by Jayendrapuriswami
chanting by the gurukulam boys
Two hours with Swami, discussing the origins of various forms of Hindu temple worship
This is an underground chamber in which one can be "entombed" for extended meditation
A vermaculture project--voracious worms turn everything they eat in to fertilizer
And other areas of the garden
And this huge pile of coconuts is being dried for copra

On the 9th we visit Sri Balagangadharanatha Swami of Adichunchanagiri Mutt and Sri Jayendrapuri Swami of Kailash Ashram. Both are long-time friends of the Aadheenam who have been especially helpful in the Iraivan temple work which is done in Bangalore.
