Amma Anne Visits the Monastery

The other day the two of them went on a hike along one on Kauai

s many, beautiful mountain ridges. '

The light was extraordinary.

Amma got a full tour of the monastery grounds, her she is at Wailua river.

She found a lotus flower among the rocks that had washed down and sprouted.

There were many happy honey bees inside.

She said that one of her favorite places was under the great banyon tree.

This week Amma Anne (Jaya's Mother) Visited the Monastery for the first time from Seattle, WA. It was also her first time on Kauai. She is very excited to be here, and loves all the unique plant life and the warm ocean. But most of all she says that she loves that her son is becoming a monk and that she is really happy for him.
