From the Great Kumbhamela Gathering
March 7, 2013Our Russian brahmachari, Dinanatha, emails us from the largest gathering of humans on the planet. He is traveling with 15 pilgrims from Russia. Despite all of the challenges, he sends photos of their last few days on the banks of the Ganges with tens of millions of Hindus.
They met a sadhu who has (we think) several kinds of Sivalingams, 1008 of each!
they are greeted at the ashram of Swami Chandrashekahara, seen modestly hiding in the shadows.
On the sandy shores of the Ganges they built a small shrine for Gurudeva and did padapuja.
