Gurudeva Unveiled
March 12, 2013On the day of Mahasivaratri, Gurudeva's bronze was unveiled at the monastery. A short puja was performed by Natyam Nandinatha after an introduction by Sadasivanathaswami. Gurudeva was then uncovered with the help of Holly Young, the wax sculptor and the statue's creator. Three guests were then honored. Martin Mosko whom is helping with the Iriavan landscaping, Ava Waits who is a sister to one of the monks, visiting the Monastery for the first time, and then Holly.

Martin then gave a short talk expressing his thanks for being able to be a part of Iraivan\
s manifestation, through his landscape design'


He concluded offering a buddhist chant


Ava gave a short speech expressing her thanks for the hospitality and blessings of being preasent for such an auspicious day. Ava is a successful nutritionist and business coach focusing on budding and established entrepreneuring businesses.




Holly was then given a gift and shawl

She gave a few words, saying that it wasn\
t her who created it, but something greater within, something which we all can express'





Everyone then came up and touched Gurudeva\
s feet, offering a flower. '
