Chisel Sharpener

Holly Young has sent these photos of the third silpi memorial wax, showing Manikandan (remember him?) sharpening a red-hot chisel. It's so charming how she captured his cloth wrapped up as a cushion, and everything else for that matter. Such a gift she has. 

Holly has completed the molds for this one and they are now in Colorado ready to be poured. 

Manikandan concentrates on a hot task

He holds the hot chisel with specially made forceps

Each chisel will last only a few minutes before it dulls

So this is a constant chore of the silpi art

There are 9 bronzes in all, and this one is now nearly complete.
