Bringing the Three Worlds Together
March 29, 2013The temple is where the inseparable connection between this and the inner worlds is most easily felt. The Homa is a sacred ritual by which offerings are made to the inner worlds, establishing communication and one mindedness. At today's homa Jnanideva Cevvel took his Vratashishya vows after years of personal study. He has been at the monastery on task force for the past four months and has been an incredible help in the current media studio reconstruction project.

Here Satguru Bodhinatha burns prayers written for the devas in the second world and the Gods in the third world. The prayers range from requests for help with personal projects, assistance in meditation and insights, to the simple expressions of thanks and love.

Jnanideva reads from his vow book

Jnanideva reads from his vow book

He then signs his vows

Bodhinatha then signs them as well

He blesses Jnanideva with vibhuti and flowers

After the Homa Bodhinatha gave a talk about the different views on the Jnani, expressing that in our philosophy, such a state can only be cultivated through meditation and realization, rather then through intellectual study.
