Today was the auspicious monthly Chitra puja for Gurudeva. The monks gather early at 5:30. Everyone offers their prostrations to Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami, our Aadheenam Kartar, beginning with Paramacharya Palaniswami and then on down through the "chakravala" order by seniority.
Title: Pancha Ganapati's Five Shaktis |
Cybertalk: Part 4 of 4 - Bodhinatha finishes his moksha ritau address for 2002 by talking about the nature of the Pancha Ganapati festival and how each of Ganesha's five shakti's builds on those prior to it.

Meanwhile our priests for today are Sadhaka Tejadeva and Sadhaka Jivanandanatha, who have made all the necessary preparations.
Gurudeva's paduka cleaned and freshly oiled for the ceremony.
A new transparency photo has been installed for the next 30 days. The pujaris sit quietly while the monks chant one complete round of Sri Rudram to build up the vibration.
The puja begins.
Offering of chandanam, sandalwood.
Around 6:00 am the devotees arrive and also offer their prostrations to Bodhinatha... This is our newest arrival to the Kauai family, Shaila Pushpa Sendan with her mother Vasuki. What a blessed karma to be born and raised in the precincts of Gurudeva's spiritual center.
Gurudeva' murthi and his feet near the end of the puja.
The final arati....
Jai Gurudeva! There was a sweet inner bliss through the temple during the puja, as if Gurudeva was whispering all is well, be happy, and "get to work!"
Another dedicated couple came on pilgrimage today from Chicago, Krishna and Prema Parameshwar.
It's their 31st wedding anniversary.
The Parameshwars were here last year and plan to come every year now. They were elated to see the progress of Iraivan Temple since their last visit.
One of the botanical wonders we have here... the blue jade vine... which is blossoming now.
The vine finds a friendly host tree. It climbs on high and then drops tendrils into space which give birth to these absolutely incredible fronds of gorgeous blue blossoms.

Work continues steadily at the Iraivan site on the next set of pillars to be raised. Trimming of the bases...
The morning sun is a special time as it cuts across the carvings, highlighting the workmanship in brilliant detail.
Roof beams sit patiently waiting their turn. Sometimes it feels like there is a deva in each one, like a little child looking forward to merging and being a part of this great edifice.
The first four pillars shining in the morning sun.
We can hardly believe our own eyes! After all the years of visualization and efforts on the part of 1000's the world over... Iraivan is manifesting!
Exquisite ornaments at every turn...
The next set of pillars will be erected behind the sanctum, along the narrower north side of the temple.
Setting the bases is a critical operation.
The whole team is focused on this one stone.
We had some professional engineers with us yesterday and they were amazed to see what these men had done with their bare hands! "How can they make the stone so flat!"
Sundaram Achari... all ears for the directions of Shanmugam Sthapati.
Sthapati taking very precise measurements with simple tools.
A very good join!
Now for more leveling.
The stones are raised on small wooden shims, the open space indicates the amount of stone that may need to be trimmed off on side or the other... or in this case possibly an inset into the foundation if the base needs to be lowered.
Karuppaiah....
The modern day long straight level comes in handy
