It is a quiet day at Kauai Aadheenam. But many projects are moving forward on various fronts.

Bodhinatha is taking a lead in various areas as Gurudeva has done. One of his areas of emphasis for the future is to "do more teaching and support of teaching." This would include reaching out and helping not only our own members with their teaching efforts but teachers of Hinduism worldwide.

We have just put a new video of Bodhinatha up today. He reads to us his write up on the fifth Yama, Patience.

Title: Malaysia-Singapore Visit Report Part 4

Category: Travels, Pilgrimage and Missions Abroad

Duration: 5 minutes, 30 seconds

Date Given: February 2, 2003

Cybertalk: Bodhinatha continues his report on his visit to Malaysia and Singapore (part 4). Bodhinatha enjoyed satsang in Klang, which experienced an overflow of devotees. Iraivan Day was a grand success, produced in very high quality, and thanks in no small part to the tireless efforts of our wonderful Malaysian youth, the event attracted some 1200 people who were introduced to Iraivan Temple.

This is Parthasarathy, Avinash, Sonam and Shivum from Pittsburgh. This wonderful family of four with much eagerness came this morning directly from Lihue airport. They were really happy that they visited the Aadheenam and in receiving Bodhinatha's blessings in their lives.

Here is Sonam and Shivum taking in the darshan of the San Marga Siva lingam, discovered on the property by Gurudeva in 1975.

This is Joan from Kauai Magazine which has run articles on the monastery and temple through the years. The magazine ends up in hotel rooms across the island and usually generates a lot of visitor traffic. She just came for a visit and a tour to see what is happening here. We gave her a taro plant from our garden.

On other fronts:

The current group of silpis will be gonig back to India in May, and another group will be arriving shortly before they leave in April. So several of the monks here are much involved in travel arrangements, getting visas for the silpis and all the requisite communications involved.

Bodhinatha's Toronto trip is shaping up very well with a lot of advance preparation underway both there and here... if you live near by take a look at his travel page and consider coming to some of the events.

The giant statue of Dakshinamurthi is still waiting in Honolulu as entry formalities are taking a bit more time than expected.

Mount Waialeale in the distance. A very peaceful day.
