"When you say to yourself, "I am all right, right now," you immediately bring the forces of the mind together. All fears, worries and doubts cease. An influx of spiritual energy fills the subconscious, and a sense of dynamic security permeates your being. "Tomorrow I shall wake up filled with energy, creatively alive and in tune with the universe." Say this several times to yourself and feel the spiritual force begin to move, the life force begin to move, within your body. You will wake up in the morning filled with creative energy, with a desire to be productive, to create. Answers to problems will be immediately unfolded from within yourself. You will experience finding solutions to questions that have been unanswered within your subconscious mind perhaps for years. A devotee having thus exercised this control over his mind to the point where when he commands the mind to be instantaneously creative, or puts a time limit on it--"Tomorrow I shall be creative, alive and in tune with the universe"--and his mind obeys, then has achieved a conscious control of the intuitive forces of mind. He is truly all right, in every now."

He brought a lovely gift.
A picture of Ganesha he made himself and a wooden carving of Ganesha as well.
Meanwhile things are moving along at the Aadheenam. Here is Sundaram Achari at the front door of Kadavul temple preparing the way for the new threshold from India.
Here it comes!
A gorgeous black granite piece.
Black granite is very dense and can take very fine detailed carving.
Trisula -- the trident. The stone got wet and is slowly drying out.
OK... moving into place.
We are so fortunate to have the silpis with us as we wouldn't have the skills to install this ourselves.
Inside Kadavul Hindu Temple, when the homa kunda is not in use it serves to support the jyotisha display of the day. The balls are the planets and they are placed in their positions in the heavens and the board can be turned to set the rising sign of the moment. This afternoon was a very good muhurtha (auspicious time) for installing the new threshold.
It helps to be aware of the flow of the forces. Some days may be days when confrontation is in the air and then you can be careful. Other days are highly auspicious for meditation and starting projects. These are actual gem spheres associated with each planet. A Lapis in the center represents the Earth.
Meanwhile several of our Kauai mission members have been working this morning on rudrakshas which is their fund-raising seva for Iraivan Temple. Here is Kulapati Durvasa Alahan heading up the initial basic processing today.
The trees this year are laden with fruits and the ground is strewn with literally hundreds of thousands of Rudrakshas...
The fruits are soaked in water and then put into a cement mixer with a little gravel. After turning for a while most of the flesh of the fruits is removed.
Rajadeva Alahan also work on the project. From here the beads will be dried, drilled and then pressure washed to remove the remaining fiber to produce a beautiful, clean bead ready to be oiled and strung on a mala or mount in a gold or silver ornament for a single bead around the neck. These are then sold and the proceeds are given to the Iraivan Temple building fund... If you are interested click on the link in the banner below.

Current Overview |
Pictures arrived today of work in progress in Bangalore at the carving site. Our site manager, Jiva Rajasankara says,
"Here is one of the hand railings that will be placed between one pillar and the next. The knobs on top have not been done yet. It takes 640 days to complete one panel.
Granite "windows" are another very time-consuming work. It takes over 80 days to complete one
panel.
Two takes 160 days. The same work appears on both the sides.
Work on the lion pillars is in progress.
Raw stone marked by the architect for the silpis to carve down.
Shankar Nathan from Koloa sends us a few photos from his photo shoot on the day we installed Dakshinamurthi.
You have to be here and see this face to understand the profound darshan it has, something unexpected and a great blessing!
Conches being blown as the crane put Dakshinamurti into place.
Paramacharya Palaniswami beside the murti. This gives you some idea how huge it is!
