Bodhinatha carefully prepares his talks in the wee-hours of the morning and reads them to the group. The effort he puts into the preparation really "pays off" with discourses that are so clear and practical.

Bodhinatha's Sun One Video. Most Recent update: September 12, 2003. Bodhinatha speaks on Ahimsa, noninjury, yama #1, which is noninjury in thought, word and deed. The law of karma decrees that it is wise not to harm or hurt others, for we will then receive harm and hurt in exchange in the future. 12 minutes, 29 seconds.

Gurudeva's shrine without a flash.

We all sit quietly during a simple puja

The power is building day after day as we prepare for the main puja on Chitra day, the day after tomorrow.

We feel the fullness of Gurudeva's loving wisdom flowing through the room like a perfume from the Gods.

All seated in silent meditation on the form of the Guru after the puja.

We have been reminding ourselves of the greatness of Gurudeva through contemplating his life and stories... Through it all he shines, like Yogaswami before him as the great Sivathondar, servant of Siva, which we all aspire to be ourselves. Yogaswami sang,

"Serve Him by praise, by the action of the hand, by touch and sight, by the power of the mind and soul, and such dedicated work will take you to the supreme goal of Siva."

"There is one thing that man implores of Siva, if he is to serve Him unto aeons as His bondsman. His pledge of eternal servitude can only be fulfilled with His Grace, and so by ceaseless contemplation can Siva blossom in the hearts of the devotees."

and, from the famous Natchintanai, "Our Gurunathan" verse 1.

"Our Gurunathan is He
Who made known to me my greater self,
His peerless Feet reposed on my head.
Father, mother and Guru, He became,
And endowed me with sovereign power.
The effect of my deeds of yore He effaced,
He who cannot be fathomed by the triune,
Beyond the duality of good and evil,
His flame lightens my being.
He is our Gurunathan."
