Skanda Shasti pujas continued today. Tomorrow we will be enjoying an early morning homa and abhishekam for Lord Skanda. We were blessed with a torrential rain last night and showers through the day. The Wailua River is full and flowing. Otherwise it has been very quiet.

Bodhinatha looking over a talk he is giving, which he would have written ahead of time after much careful thought and meditation as well as getting quotes from Gurudeva's books.
Bodhinatha's Sun One Video. Most Recent update: September 12, 2003. Bodhinatha speaks on Ahimsa, noninjury, yama #1, which is noninjury in thought, word and deed. The law of karma decrees that it is wise not to harm or hurt others, for we will then receive harm and hurt in exchange in the future. 12 minutes, 29 seconds.
With our camera on the shelf during this rainy day we bring you some more pictures from our festival and Sun One sent by devotees. Bodhinatha at the homa with participants.
In the Agamas it describes how the priest builds up an astral form in the fire and when it is ready Lord Siva comes and enters that form.

Tirumati Miravadi Sendan with her son Chidambaram. Miravadi gave us all some wonderful testimony on how she was catalyzed into deep meditation during one of the programs here during Maha Samadhi week.
The devotees all went over to Himalayan Acres the other day to weed along the rows of ironwood trees we planted. It's a really beautiful experience, so quite, with the mountains off in the distance. Adi Srikantha is modeling a new sun protection hat... quite dashing!
Nathan, Miravadi and Chidambaram. Nathan has followed in his father's footsteps in the area of carpentry and construction and is doing well in California.
Ladies enjoying their company together.
Chidambaram wants to see Ganesha up close and personal on the outside shrine on the west wall of Kadavul. He was born in July of 2001, that makes him just a little over 2 years old. And what a strong and bright young lad he is!
Sadhaka Jothinatha talks with Thilaka

Janahan sits with several of the monks who will perform the Maha Samadhi puja with him, going over details.

And performs the final Arati.
Janahan has a meeting with Bodhinatha.
Dr. Sunder, his wife Thilaka and Janahan... We have to thank Dr. Sunder for introducing us to Janahan, when, after Gurudeva traveled to New York to receive the UThant Peace Award, on returning, a function was held at Dr. Sunder's home in Lancaster, California, and he had Janahan perform the pada puja for Gurudeva.
