"Each Saivite is unique in his or her quest, yet all seek the same things in life: to be happy and secure, loved and appreciated, creative and useful. Saivism has an established culture which fulfills these essential human wants and helps us understand the world and our place in it. To all devotees it gives guidance in the qualities of character so necessary in spiritual life: patience, compassion, broadmindedness, humility, industriousness and devotion. Saivism centers around the home and the temple. Monastic life is its core and its power. Family life is strong and precious. Saivism possesses a wealth of art and architecture, traditions of music, art, drama and dance, and a treasury of philosophy and scholarship. Saivite temples provide worship services daily. Scriptures give ethical guidelines. Satgurus offer advanced spiritual initiation. These three--temples, scriptures and satgurus--are our pillars of faith. The Vedas implore, "O learned people, may we with our ears listen to what is beneficial, may we see with our eyes what is beneficial. May we, engaged in your praises, enjoy with firm limbs and sound bodies, a full term of life dedicated to God." Aum Namah Sivaya."

Tour day brought a group of seekers... Early in the day we had a group of masons and concrete builders from Oahu. They read about the temple in the Honolulu newspaper and all flew over. As builders, they were really, really impressed. "I just can't believe this whole thing was carved with chisels... and look how straight and in-line those stones are... I can't even get it that good with my instruments!"
Forgive us for the shameless sales pitch, but Innersearch is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Today we feature Chidambaram, that most incredible temple of Lord Nataraja. Here is Gurudeva with devotees on a previous Innersearch meditating there in Chidambaram... always a powerful experience.
Innersearches to India and Sri Lanka always include incredible ceremonies by the best Hindu priests in the world.
The huge temples of South India are awesome to behold and vibrating with sanctity from centuries of devotions and spiritual practice.
Our evenings will include culture performances that will uplift and delight and carry you to another world... here Gurudeva greets a young lady who performed at Chidambaram for the innersearchers...

Current Overview |
Shanmuga Sthapati proudly announced that today they finished course #20 in just seven working days...
Here we see the completion on process.
The space between the inner and outer walls has been filled with brick and now filled in and covered over with mortar.
The bricks will "breathe" moisture as the climate changes, expanding and contracting.
0ur team is really focused because the crane comes again tomorrow and they really must finish this level today.
Almost there...
Another square foot and we are done.
Admixture for the mortar... no, it is not milk!
Donate today, sponsor a pillar, give a monthly pledge!
As his team closes the level, Sthapati's mind is already on tomorrow's stone lift. He starts making mental plans for where everything will go.
There is not a lot of space left at the top, so logistics is everything to make the job go well.
The support team below, mixing mortar and sending it aloft.
Silpi Sankaran on the wheelbarrow. He shovels the mortar into buckets and Chinnu hoists it aloft on a double action pulley system.
