Bodhinatha has been very active this phase meeting devotees who have come for darshan almost everyday.

Bodhinatha's Sun One Video. Most Recent update: September 12, 2003. Bodhinatha speaks on Ahimsa, noninjury, yama #1, which is noninjury in thought, word and deed. The law of karma decrees that it is wise not to harm or hurt others, for we will then receive harm and hurt in exchange in the future. 12 minutes, 29 seconds.

The Arjun and Lalitha Partha family from Oregon visited again today to have darshan with Bodhinatha. Their three sons are Vivek, Rishi and Hari.

Hari, the youngest, rushed up and sat on Bodhinatha's lap two or three times! The parents had a nice discussion with Bodhinatha about how our Aadheenam's philosophical basis is not just Vedanta or Siddhanta, but a blend of both called monistic theism, or Saiva Siddhanta. Bodhinatha explained how the common terms of Karma, Bhakti, Raja and Jnana Yoga in Saivism are known as Charya, Kriya, Yoga and Jnana. They are not four separate paths that all reach liberation, but actually four successive stages in a one path that must all be passed through to reach liberation.
Afterwards we took the family to perform personal abhishekam at the Narmada Sivalingam on our Path of the Tamil Saiva Saints, which they greatly enjoyed. The boys also picked more oranges and loquat fruits.

Aum Namasivaya!

It was a brilliantly clear day at the Aadheenam. Everyone was excited by the view of Waialeale.

More visitors

And more meetings with Bodhinatha.

More Advance Visions of the
Indian Odyssey 2004

More great photos from Shankar Nathan. Here we are in Madurai looking at the famed Meenakshi temple that is situated in the city.

For untold centuries this temple has been a center and a testimony to the greatness of Hindu culture

This appears to be a small model of the temple.

Invaders destroyed so much in North India, so it was South India that was fortunate enough to maintain continuity of the sacred temple traditions through the centuries.

We will be going to a several of the famed temples of Lord Muruga. Here we are at Swamimalai.

Cybertalk: Gurudeva sanctioned the prayaschitta of walking prostrations for pilgrims and members who come to Kauai Aadheenam. The Jivana Ritau is a study of Living with Siva, and of the sutras also. One sadhana for this ritau is how we deal with difficult situations with wisdom and without emotions. Self-evaluation can be done by examining our relationships. how many people are we close to? The key to the path is to learn to resolve difficulties with others.
