Gurudeva's shrine in Kavadul Temple has been beautifully decorated in his honor by the local members using the abundant colorful flowers and plants growing on the Aadheenam property.

Gurudeva taught in Merging with Siva to practice concentration upon a flower. "Concentrate on the flower. Think about the flower. Move into the area of the mind where all flowers exist in all phases of manifestation, to where all stems exists, to the stem of that paricular flower, to the root that that particular flower came from, and to the seed. Concentrate, concentrate, concentrate on the flower."

Bodhinatha goes into meditation as he blesses rudraksha beads for the Banerjee family, who visited today. Hindus prize a sacred object which has been so held and blessed by a saint, sage or satguru.

Bodhinatha continued today preparing the Aadheenam to function smoothly in his absence.

Bodhinatha's Sun One Video. Most Recent update: September 12, 2003. Bodhinatha speaks on Ahimsa, noninjury, yama #1, which is noninjury in thought, word and deed. The law of karma decrees that it is wise not to harm or hurt others, for we will then receive harm and hurt in exchange in the future. 12 minutes, 29 seconds.

Today Somnath and Tilottama Banerjee returned to have a wonderful darshan meeting with Bodhinatha. They asked good questions about faith and how to advance in their personal spiritual life. Bodhinatha explained that in the Hindu view, religion is not separate from the rest of our life. We don't just have religion on Sunday, and not the rest of the week. It is our whole life, everything we do, every day. So if we do the best we can in every activity, no matter how mundane, then we are making spiritual progress. And we should have a worship routine in the home each morning. They also asked how Hindus should look at acquiring wealth, and Bodhinatha explained that it is fulfilling dharma to acquire as much wealth as possible with our skills, and use the wealth wisely to support our families, community and religious institutions.

At the end of the discussion, Bodhinatha returns the rudraksha bead products that the Banerjees were taking home with them. Somnath also subscribed to Hinduism Today magazine and is acquiring all three of the Master Course Trilogy books along with a study folder so that he can do a deeper study of the Master Course. Go to www.gurudeva.org/mc for more information about how to study the Master Course in a guided way.

The Agarwal and the Bajaj families enjoyed the tour of the grounds and were overwhelmed with the serene atmosphere and beautiful gardens. They read about the monastery in Hinduism Today years ago and were very interested in coming. They are on a cruise of the Hawaiian islands and hurried up to the monastery as soon as the ship docked at Nawiliwili harbor this morning.
