Gurudeva hands the camphor flame to one of his monks after a blessing on San Marga.

In Living with Siva, he wrote, "The devas in the Devaloka, in the Second World, can actually see the flame that is passed before the image that represents the Deity. When they look into this world, it is like looking through a veil. They cannot see us too clearly. So we have signs and symbols to attract their attention, to earn their grace and their blessings."

Every morning Bodhinatha leads the monks in a one-hour meditation from six to seven am in the Guru Temple here. Devotees report that it is possible to "tune into" this meditation if you meditate at the same moment as Bodhinatha and the monks, which time in your zone, of course, would depend where you live. Try it. Yesterday morning was such a strong vibration that when the meditation was over, it was already 7:30!

Bodhinatha's Sun One Video. Most Recent update: September 12, 2003. Bodhinatha speaks on Ahimsa, noninjury, yama #1, which is noninjury in thought, word and deed. The law of karma decrees that it is wise not to harm or hurt others, for we will then receive harm and hurt in exchange in the future. 12 minutes, 29 seconds.

The Chande family returned this morning and had a wonderful darshan meeting with Bodhinatha. Deepak and Sujata are the parents; Tejal and Anjal are their two daughters. The family lives in Illinois and are devotees of the Chinmaya Mission. They enjoyed hearing Bodhinatha's guidance about spiritualizing our entire life, rather than thinking that religion only happens when we go to the temple. They later toured the publication offices.

What's going on today at Kauai Aadheenam is packing, packing, packing. Suitcase have been pulled out of closets, dusted off and packed with all the necessities of travel, which, for a monk, aren't many. Every sturdy box has been recycled and repurposed for the trip. The most experienced travelers are already completely packed and ready to go.

Here Sadhaka Tejadeva helps pack study material for the Innersearchers.

Arumugaswami holds the pilgrim's Survival Guide Book, which includes information on each place the Innersearcher's stay, where the hotel is, what to do if lost and many other useful traveler tips. The Innersearch team has prepared a lot of surprise items for the trip, and didn't even want us to let you know about this one...

This is the formal day-by-day itinerary as being prepared on Sadhaka Dandapani's computer. This is going to be a very elegant and highly organized pilgrimage! Months of planning goes into organizing the three weeks of travel.

In the course of 30 years of Innersearch, the staff has repeatedly encountered the problem of finding the right items at the right time, for example, a gift photo prepared for a certain person in Madurai. So all of the material for the program is carefully inventoried, sorted according to date of use and packed in numbered boxes for easy retrieval.
