Two New Electric Replacements for the Aadheenam Fleet Have Arrived
July 9, 2014After many years of service we are retiring our Kawasaki Mule fleet. They were beginning to require more and more repair and several had broken down to the point of being unusable. To replace them we ordered new Polaris Ranger electric vehicles. This is part of the long range plan for use of the solar energy to help the Aadheenam get away from fossil fuels. The first two arrived yesterday and were blessed today. More to come

Both vehicles decorated and set up with limes under their wheels. Brahmachari Girish is doing the blessing rites.

Dhupam

Ganesha is invoked to preside over the new vehicles.

Yoginathaswami who master-minded the solar panel array and the acquisition of the new machines invites Paramacharya Sivanathaswami and Sannyasin Brahmanathswami to drive over the limes \"Forward....\"

\"Now back up!\"

It is a happy day.

Sadhaka Nandinatha makes the maiden voyages this morning, driving off for his daily morning duty of picking flowers for the Siva Puja and Kadavul temple. For this he has to go all over the property

Especially delighted are Sadhaka Tejadevanatha and Brahmachari Girish who have had their hands full with continuous repairs and upkeep of the old fleet. Their job just got a lot easier!

em up! How easy is this!'

Just plug them into a regular outlet. By charging the batteries during the day, we are using energy from our solar panels. So now, in addition to savings on electricity for the Aadheenam, the solar panels will start saving on fossil fuel expenses. Stay tuned as more are on their way.
