Recent Siddhidatta Kulam Projects
November 25, 2014The Siddhidatta Kulam has been making great deals of progress with the extra assistance they've had over the last month. Many large and small projects are being completed. Following are photos of a small amount of what they've been doing.

s recent helpers, Vel, Adi, Dasan and Roshan'

One of larger accomplishments has been the completion of double digging the new garden beds

As stated in a previous post, the hard soil underneath the new beds has to be broken up for proper drainage of our heavy rains

A photo of the team after finishing the labor intensive process

It required hours of breaking up the dirt by hand, with heavy iron poles

After the soil is broken, turned and the beds refilled, mulch is added on top as a final layer

Some of the other monks join in to help

Nirvani holds up an example of the hard clay

The mulch piles where greatly downsized by this effort

Vel drives the tractor and moves mulch

Another small project, was to clean these two lamps

Vel has fun polishing them to perfection

All the pieces are shined

All done!

Vel also helped to paint this newly renovated trailer. He and Rajantha give it a lovely red coat

Little trailers like this are extremely useful around the property
