Media Studio Cave Entry Complete!

After many moons the eloquent carpentry and stone work in the Media Studio Cave Entryway has finished. This was a creative collaboration between the monks (design), Kanda Alahan in California (fabrication of the roof shrine, plus innovations), and Bhani Karthigesu in Singapore (engineering the masterful and colorful wooden sculptures in North India). The result is simply magical, providing a moment of blessing and change of consciousness as one moves from the tropical gardens into the more-akashic-than-physical space of the Media Studio.
Jai to teamwork!

Our beloved Gurudeva is the first sight upon entrance into the Media Studio, reminding us we are only here doing our seva and sadhana because of the Guru\

s grace '

Lord Ganesha is next upon entering the Studio, removing obstacles and watching over our work. This form of Ganesha as the Divine Scribe was chosen to guard over the publications team who scribe and scribe all day

Acharya Kumarnathaswami, an integral piece to this complex renovation, begins setting the shrine in place. Haran Kandadas by his side

Senthilnathaswami installs the lighting and voila, Gurudeva is here!

Next is Ganesha\

Sivarathna Manick is making his rounds on the taskforce program, serving one month in each kulam. The Ganapati Kulam is fortunate to have him serve on this auspicious day

Gurudeva has taught us well, and Bodhinatha continues to repeat his teaching about willpower; \"Do each task well, even a little better than you need to.\"

Image

Image

\"Thus we can begin to see that our individual awareness, willpower and the primal life force deep within body, emotion and mind are, in fact, one and the same -- that willpower, individual awareness and life force, their habits and usages, are but various aspects.\"

\"Therefore the process is one of breaking up the patterns of instinct and intellect, separating the impulses of them both, through regular and regulated periods of sadhana and meditation, so that the divine will, spiritual energy and infinite awareness can filter in and cause a new intellect to form. \"

Image

\"Beginning the sadhana, and the continued practice, is the first sign that Siva\

s will is being done in the aspirant\'s life. New energy abides within him because of the transmutation from the base to the Divine. New knowledge comes forth from within him as he builds upon it through remembering his accumulated inner experiences as if they occurred but a moment ago.\" '

Siva\

s will is being done always. But being more aware of the inner processes and impulses of willpower than the outer configurations of other people, their thoughts and feelings, you will soon live in the world contentedly and come to know the Shi, (S H I) the Absolute Self beyond all form, time and causation, and the Va, the All-Pervading Self, as actinic energy permeating all form, and you will rest blissfully in this new knowledge on your new intellectual threshold.'
