NRCS Visits Himalayan Acres
May 12, 2015The NRCS had an inspection today at our land across the river that we call Himalayan Acres. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is the primary federal agency that works with private landowners to help them conserve, maintain and improve their natural resources. The Agency emphasizes voluntary, science-based conservation; technical assistance; partnerships; incentive-based programs; and cooperative problem solving at the community level.

Our hardwood plantings are in place and can be supported with grants through government agencies such as the NRCS.
