August 25, 2015This week the aadheenam is visited by a young man on the spiritual path, yearning for a life of Siva consciousness and sadhana, Raguram. He is here to softly discover the life of a monk at the monastery. This is his first visit to the Garden Island and no wonder he fell in love with the place where "Heaven meets the earth." We encouraged him to explore the aadheenam grounds with a camera and the above pictures are a view of the gardens through his eyes. Ragu is spending his time helping the monks and enjoying the divinity in our temples, all the while engulfed in the beauty of nature. Today's blog ends with Adi Shankara's prayer to Siva.
"Forgive me, O Siva
My three great sins!
I came on a pilgrimage to Kashi forgetting that You are omnipresent.
In thinking about You I forgot that You are beyond thought.
In praying to You I forgot that You are beyond words."
