Honoring Gurudeva on Chitra Nakshatra
September 15, 2015This morning the monastics and island members gathered in Kadavul Temple once again to honor and remember Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, the founder of Kauai's Hindu Monastery and the catalyst to so many souls going back to Siva, from whence they came so long ago. Thank You Gurudeva.

Nirvanis Tejadevanatha and Nilakanthanatha perform the sacred ritual of offering earthly liquids filled with prana, both in respect and in practicality. The divinity recieving the items can take that prana and send it back out, radiating to all those present.

The arati flame can be seen in the inner worlds, making it easier to see whats going on out here, helping to stretch the veil or brighten the screen from this world to the next

Sri Rudram is chanted as usual. Sanskrit is easily understood by the inner world beings. Sri Rudram is a powerful chant, honoring all aspects of life as another form of Shiva. To show the level of detail of the chant, one sentence in particular says \"To all those standing and to all sitting, Praise.\"

We are currently enjoying a visit from the Mahadevans, Dasan and Shakti

With each offering the vibration becomes more soothing, making it ever so easy to dive within.

The Mantra Pushpam chant is offered

Flowers are passed around

Final arati is a strong finish to the event. As a pujari, it can be difficult to remember whether the final arati chant is the Guru mantra or the Pancha Brahma chant that the monks do for Siva Nataraja. The chanter, the chant and the chanted-to are all the same thing.

What more can be said? From one form to another, Gurudeva continues to shine on everyone and everything under his roof, just like the Sun.
