Beginning the New Phase

Following three days of retreat, the monks began their new phase this morning with a Siva homa. Monastics and local devotees gathered in Kadavul Temple in the early morning for the event. The fire acts as a strong connection to the inner worlds and those present may write notes which when burned in the flames can be read by the devas and the Mahadevas. As "religion is the harmonious working together of all three worlds" we view this weekly homa as a powerful way in which to synchronize our efforts with the beings of our order who reside on inner planes. Aum Namah Sivaya.
