Today we took the camara 'round the monastery and documented what we found.

Paramacharya Sivanathanaswami oversees the herbal supplement area for all the mathavasi. Ayurveda is a vast and complex system of medicinal treatments, all stemming from the Earth.

The Lambodara Kulam has had this Ganesha for years. Every now and then a deity comes from nowhere. Perhaps this Ganesha is from south of the border.

We successfully restored Gurudeva\

s hut a few years ago. He used to meditate and rest right in this very abode. '

Stacks of wood are being dried out near the wood-mill. One day they will be put to use and become something magnificent.

Our hardwood seedlings are hard at work, no pun intended. A few thousand seen here.

Future logs to be milled lay about the grounds. This is about 30 camphor logs.

\"Organic Storage Facility. Authorized Personel Only.\" I steered clear. A future post on the noni process is in the works.

A look at the newest logs to arrive. Rainbow Eucalyptus is a stunning specimen.

On our walk back to the monastery we find ourselves in the Hall of Palms. This palm orchard is a wonderful place to find yourself.

Image

Rows and rows and rows of palm trees

The crown of the tree is meant to be enjoyed

Did I mention there were rows and rows and rows...

and rows...

...what was I saying?

Ah yes, our final landing shot of the day. A quiet, empty carpenters shop. The dust settles for the day and the wood silently rests. Tomorrow there will be plenty of time for sawing, sharpening, hammering and sanding. For now let us just watch the dust settle.
