March 17th Homa

Early this morning the Mathavasis gathered together in Kadavul Temple to begin the new phase with their usual morning homa. Today's was supplemented by the refined energies from yesterday's Ardra Abhishekam to Lord Nataraja. This phase will be five days long. The monks will observe Ashram Sadhana Day tomorrow (sun 2) where they will focus on cleaning the monastery. Also upcoming are Yogaswami's annual Mahasamadhi celebrations. For this the monks and local members will gather in the Guru Peedam for a short puja to Yogaswami's corner shrine.

Following today's homa, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami gave a wonderful Upadesha about the differing attitudes of attachment held towards the world by the renunciate and the householder. The talk we be posted online in the coming days.
